What Concrete Costs in Manteca in 2026: Driveways, Patios, Slabs and Repairs
Concrete pricing in Manteca is mostly labor, base material and haul-off, not the concrete itself. That is why two bids for the same driveway can be thousands of dollars apart, and why the cheapest one is often missing a step. Here are the ranges local homeowners are actually paying, and what to check before you pick.
Typical installed prices
Driveways: $8–$14 per square foot including demolition of the old slab, so a standard two-car driveway (about 600 sq ft) runs $5,000–$8,500. Patios and walkways: $7–$12 per square foot broom-finished, with stamped or colored work adding $3–$8 per square foot. Slabs and foundations: engineered work is quoted per job, but a simple shed or shop slab is usually in the $7–$12 range. Repairs: lifting a settled section with slabjacking or foam typically runs a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars, far less than replacement.
What pushes the price up
Demolishing and hauling thick old concrete, poor access for the pump or truck (backyards with no side gate), extra base on heavy clay lots, thicker slabs for RVs and trucks, rebar instead of mesh, decorative finishes, and any permit or engineering. Steep or oddly shaped sites add forming time.
What pulls it down
A simple rectangle, easy truck access, an existing slab that is thin and easy to break out, a plain broom finish, and scheduling in the slower months (late fall through early spring in San Joaquin County). Pouring several items at once (driveway plus a walkway plus a patio) is cheaper per square foot than three separate jobs.
How to compare bids fairly
Ask every bidder for the same breakdown: demolition and haul-off, base type and depth, slab thickness, concrete strength (psi), reinforcement, control-joint spacing, finish, cleanup, and who handles the permit. If one bid is far cheaper, find which of those lines is missing. Base depth and reinforcement are where corners get cut.
Deposits and payment
California limits the down payment on a home improvement contract to 10 percent or $1,000, whichever is less. Progress payments should track work completed. Never pay in full before the pour.
Getting a real number
Ranges only go so far. A licensed local contractor can walk the site, measure, check the soil and access, and give you a written price in a day or two. That is what the estimate form on this site is for.
